For over two decades, I faithfully pastored a congregation, yet deep within me grew a longing for deeper theological preparing. I desired to rightly divide the Word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15), but year after year I postponed the pursuit. Then, in God's providence, I encountered WACM Bible College, only a few miles from home, with a flexible study plan. I enrolled, and there I was introduced toPerfect Edifiers Charity Foundation, whose sound discipleship resources and literature became a turning point in my ministry.
Through this encounter, my eyes were opened to the sufficiency of Scripture and the subtle dangers of man-made traditions that had taken root in the church. Convicted by the Spirit, I tendered my resignation. But my congregation pleaded with me to remain, and I agreed resolved that from then on I would proclaim only Christ and His Word (1 Corinthians 2:2).
From that point, renewal began. My congregation started growing in biblical understanding. They began testing every teaching by the Scriptures, like the Bereans of Acts 17:11. The truth became evident when our headquarters introduced an annual ritual, demanding offerings ranging from different amount as a means to "wipe away tears" in 2025. In my absence, my congregation asked a simple question: "Where is this written?" Their refusal exposed the emptiness of unbiblical practices.
But this boldness came with a heavy cost. I received a suspension letter, accused of teaching "beyond ministerial guidance." Overnight, I lost my pastoral position, the accommodation provided for my family, my children's educational support, and every other benefit attached to my role.
Yet I rejoice! My conscience is clear before God. I have seen with my own eyes believers once bound in ignorance now standing firm in the liberty of Christ (Galatians 5:1). Though stripped of earthly securities, I am rich in the joy of seeing lives renewed by God's Word.
